Farewell Crashing: Do's and Don'ts

Let's keep aside the attending part of the entire ceremony at an auditorium or an amphitheatre. What i, rather my partners in crime find more appealing is the planning about
landing ourselves the free lunch on offer. This often doesn't demand planning but then there are
those circumstances compelling you to fight it out for the bread. I know it sounds quite भुक्कड़ !
Anyway, here is what i've gathered this week from the first ever 'bunch' of experiences of
farewell crashing (having gulped everything  at almost every 2013 batch's farewell party).

What we live for ! :p

 Do's:

  •  Start early if there is a hint of resistance in the air.
  •  Pass it on. Sharing is caring. You'd want everybody in the family to ease their bellies out.
  • Poking your friends from the batch which is 'free-to-eat' works with resistance.
  • Clothing and wits. Never underestimate the wonders being in formal clothing on the day can do.
  • Eat in a corner. Preferably near the food stalls/tables.  Ease of access.
  • Do thank the entire batch for the wonderful meal in the end.
  • Act like attending a call when a teacher is charging towards you in suspicion and move away.
Don'ts:

  • Carry more than what you can. Catches eyeballs.
  • Start eating with the teachers. They might not appreciate this everytime.
  • Jump with your entire gang all at once. A few folks trespassing the area won't fetch much attention.
  • Overeat.
  • Get yourself clicked eating, trespassing or stuff.
  • Snatch and run when being shooed away.
  • Give away your college identity card when being asked for. Remember, you left that home.
